BrainWaves 1st Annual "The Art of Awareness" Community Social
“The Art of Awareness”: A BrainWaves Community Social Celebrating Brain Injury Awareness Month
After an incredible turnout at our last event, BrainWaves is gathering again, this time at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on March 26.
Survivors and Care Coaches are invited to connect, unwind, and experience the healing power of art in a supportive, welcoming space.
Participants will enjoy:
• a Guided Tour of the Mellon French Galleries: Impressionism (First 45 registrants) - Featuring works by Monet, Renoir, Degas, and Van Gogh. The Impressionists transformed color and light to express emotion and perception, reminding us that every brain experiences the world uniquely. This powerful exploration reflects the creativity, adaptation, and resilience within the brain injury community.
• Volunteer-guided exploration supported by BrainWaves volunteers (up to 60 total participants)
• Meaningful connection and community building
Join us as we celebrate resilience, creativity, and community through art.
Support "The Art of Awareness" event and help bring awareness to the silent epidemic of Brain Injury. If you’re unable to attend, consider donating to help us expand this event and continue creating accessible, healing-centered experiences for survivors and families.
Join @theBrainWavesMovement by donating, volunteering, and spreading awareness.
Together, we can change lives, one wave at a time.
BrainWaves Meet & Greet Social
BrainWaves invites you to our first social event! Come out for a “Hole” lot of fun at the NES Corn Hole Lounge.
Guests will learn a few Corn Hole tricks before playing a few matches, play a few board games, and socialize with peers and other guests after a brief introduction to BrainWaves. Snacks and small bites will also be provided.
Corn Hole is a great activity that fosters socialization, mobility, and good times, and with you in attendance, we are confident it will be a hit.
